Scotch Vinyl Electrical Tape 35 is a US-made, professional-grade, nominal 7-mil (0.178 mm) thick, electrical insulating PVC tape. It is available in 10 fade-resistant colors and composed of an elastic vinyl (PVC) film backing coated on one side with a non-corrosive, rubber-based pressure-sensitive adhesive. In accordance with NFPA 70, National Electrical Codewhere flame, sunlight and cold resistance is requiredthis adhesive is best used as primary insulation on applications up to 600V at a maximum temperature of 80 C (176 F) and minimum temperature of -10 C (14 F) on joints and splices in wires and cables.
